I mean, I finally finished a draft and now I have to chuck it? But once I buckle down and do the work, I'm amazed at how much better it is. I'm working on a first draft now, and I already know it's going to require a major overhaul, but I'm powering through, because every word will help me find the real story that's fighting to get out.Talia Vancehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03029105840248690575noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8005062827798430682.post-19734401583260093482012-03-14T09:01:25.431-04:002012-03-14T09:01:25.431-04:00Oh, I know this feeling only too well. The initial ripple in the first chapter quickly became large enough to tip a boat over (but not big enough to knock over the Titanic--yet).

Thanks for the awesome post!Stinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11415189347501942340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8005062827798430682.post-75351951541931294162012-03-14T08:32:49.343-04:002012-03-14T08:32:49.343-04:00Fantastic stuff! The hardest part is not knowing when it's going to be done. When drafting, I see an end. The real work comes after, though.
