Similarly, our own Sarah Glenn Marsh has nine books currently under contract, and stepping down from coordinating contests here at AYAP, though she'll stay on with us as a 1st5PagesWritingWorkshop.com mentor.
That's sad news for us, but it's great news for a few people who are serious about getting an opportunity to interact with authors, publishers, and agents while learning more about publishing and writing. Several of our past associates have gone on to paid positions that they credit, at least in part, to having worked with us at AYAP.
We have a new contest coordinator that we'll be announcing shortly, but in the meantime, we are looking for two interns who can help coordinate the Wednesday posts and help out with contest outreach and publicity.
Selected candidates will be:
- Book lovers with a strong interest in young adult fiction
- Self-starters
- Able to communicate clearly and professionally
- Able to follow instructions, make suggestions based on their own ideas, and follow through
- Able to keep track of responses needed and follow up timely
