Don't Forget!
The June 1st 5 Pages Workshop with guest mentor Nancy Kress, author of over 26 books, will open for submission at noon Eastern today. Go here for more information.
Tip of the Week
Lie naked on the table, and let them cut. Criticism is surgery, and humility is the anesthetic that allows you to tolerate it. In the end, the process will make you a stronger, more flexible, and truly creative writer. It will replace attitude with genuine confidence, and empty arrogance with artistry.~ Molly Cochran

wow - what a fabulous round up of news and links! thank you for taking the time to put this all together. Now, I'm off to do some reading!
ReplyDeleteHope you find as much inspiration as I did reading those posts!
DeleteHmmm people may not want to eat on it if I lied naked on the table lol
ReplyDeleteLol! I was more worried about the blood since it conjures an image of critiquers poised with their knives and forks. The nakedness wasn't such a problem in comparison.
DeleteWow. Thanks for this list. I'll be busy for quite a while. =)
ReplyDeleteYikes. The goal is to save you time by putting the resources together. I want to to still have time to write! :)
DeleteGreat list - thanks!!
ReplyDeleteLove those quotes - the Reading one is especially awesome! :)
Isn't that awesome? And it comes through in everything she ever wrote. I just wish she had been able to do more novels!
DeleteSo glad I found your blog! Great quotes. I'm going to have to check out that link about the Divergent movie update. I just read the book recently, and I'm so glad they're making a movie out of it.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like such a resourceful blog, and I know I'd definitely be returning here.
Welcome, Cynthia! I'm so glad that you stopped by and that you took the time to comment.
DeleteI am a huge Divergent fan. I still can't believe she wrote that as a class project in college--best class project ever, right?
Hope to see you back soon!
