It was so wonderful to learn how it really is just a tool to help explore your true feelings, like a random, self-guided therapy :-)

I use Tarot when I'm struggling to figure out who characters really are, and their deepest motivations. It was my first ever deck and I love it! It was through Greek mythology that I was better able to learn the tarot, and vice versa. Since then I've been a collector. Thank you for the ideas for using tarot in my writing. Tarot Made Easy by Nancy Garen is an excellent book with no guesswork involved. She has explanations for every card depending on the position they fall in, and great layouts for all life's tests. I use the Ride-Waite tarot deck, by Pamela Colman Smith. A winning combination that never fails.Fiona Ingramhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12858421058191075567noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8005062827798430682.post-80902128422018813942013-05-15T01:46:53.402-04:002013-05-15T01:46:53.402-04:00Haven't read any books about tarot cardsHaven't read any books about tarot cardsbn100noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8005062827798430682.post-75640609566424096562013-05-15T01:45:58.003-04:002013-05-15T01:45:58.003-04:00Interesting use of tarot cards in booksInteresting use of tarot cards in booksbn100noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8005062827798430682.post-51398312365120203692013-05-14T21:46:34.531-04:002013-05-14T21:46:34.531-04:00I'm a Tarot novice, but Tarot did feature in t...I'm a Tarot novice, but Tarot did feature in the first draft of my Upper MG WIP. I shouldn't be, but I'm always surprised that they are always perfect for what I need for the book.

My first and favorite deck is the Osho Zen Tarot cards, but for my sequel I wanted a more traditional deck and bought the Guilded Tarot deck by Ciro Marchetti. I've enjoyed learning the cards.

Thanks for all the ideas for using the cards. So I downloaded a great iPad app, which includes 9 different spreads, with interpretations, or a possibility to type in your own interpretation and then email the spread and the meanings of the positions and cards to yourself to use as a base to plot or sketch or whatever from. Awesome. I'm looking forward to trying all of Sarah's plotting tools. :)

Thanks so much for being on the blog today, Sarah!
