QUESTION OF THE WEEK
October 20, 2013
WHAT BOOKS ARE YOU READING RIGHT NOW?
Hey folks! I’m eyeballs-deep in revisions for the sequel to RUN TO YOU, so I’m keeping this week’s question short and sweet: What book(s) are you reading right now?

My answer: STIR ME UP by Sabrina Elkins (YA contemp romance, Harlequin Teen) and WHEN I’M WITH YOU by Beth Kery (Contemp romance, Berkley). Next up: DOCTOR SLEEP by Stephen King (Horror, Scribner).
YOUR TURN! What book(s) are you reading right now? You can be as brief or detailed as you like!
Great topic! I am reading Doll Bones by Holly Black, Dickens' David Copperfield and David and Goliath by Malcolm Gladwell!
ReplyDeleteI am reading Inferno by Dan Brown, Once upon a time by Paula Guran and BZRK by Michael Grant.
ReplyDeleteI'm about to start Being Jamie Baker by Kelly Oram.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on those revisions!
I am reading Writing irresistible kidlit, by Mary Kole.
ReplyDeleteFangirl by Rainbow Rowell. I'm knee deep in edits also so I understand :)
ReplyDeleteI'm reading Existence by David Brin (sci/fi) and Cocaine Blues (mystery) and enjoying both :)
ReplyDeleteRight now: City of Death by Sarwat Chadda (almost done!), The Dollhouse Asylum by Mary Gray, Hyperbole and a Half by Allie Brosh, and Phantom Eyes by Scott Tracey.
ReplyDeleteI finished Lauren Myracle's SHINE this morning, and I absolutely loved it. I'm thinking I might do a reread of a childhood favorite next: Judy Blume's JUST AS LONG AS WE'RE TOGETHER. And of course, I'm anxiously awaiting ALLEGIANT's release!
ReplyDeleteGreat titles, everyone! It's so hard to find time to read during revisions, sometimes my only chance is while I'm drying my hair in the morning. Ha!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with the revision! I just finished EVERY DAY by David Leviathan--very intriguing premise (guy waking up in someone else's body, a different person each day). :)
ReplyDeleteLove seeing what others are reading! I just started DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS by CJ Omolulu, am partway though UNDER THE EMPYREAN SKY by Chuck Wendig, and MONEYBALL by Michael Lewis, and need to loop back to THE LAST DRAGONSLAYER by Jasper Fforde.
ReplyDeleteThe book I am reading right now (that I can't stop talking about) is YA thriller "The Riddle of Prague" by author Laura DeBruce (http://theriddleofprague.com/about/). It is book one of the Quicksilver Legacy series and the "to be continued" at the end has caused me to reread the book 10x and anxiously await book 2, "The Temple of Paris." The book follows leading lady Hana Silna and her trip to Prague to reclaim her family home, "The Rockery." It seems that a lot of suspicion and mystery surround this home and a break in leads Hana to the discovery of an old notebook with a cryptic riddle and clues from an alchemist about an elixir of immortality. Hana's family in Prague are all linked to this grand experiment of immortality and it's up to Hana to figure things out. The book is a thrilling page turner that really is the complete package! Murder, mystery, romance and SO much suspense I can't recommend it enough :)
