0 Changing the Font: Great Revision Tip

You know the Oscar Wilde quote about spending the morning putting in the comma and the afternoon taking it out again? I just caught myself doing the reverse with a few words in the manuscript I am rewriting, and I finally realized that my eyes and ears (yes, I revise OUT LOUD) are used to seeing and hearing the ghosts of edits past. As so often happens, I was reading the KidLit.com blog from Mary Kole, and came across a post that offfered the perfect solution to my problem. It's a simple fix, but then so are most brilliant tips.

The solution? Change the font on your manuscript. Your eyes will see it from a whole new perspective and you'll be able to see what's really there.
